Pablo Henri Ramírez Didou

Pablo Ramirez Didou obtuvo su licenciatura en periodismo y comunicación en la Universidad de Ming Chuan en Taiwán, República de China, gracias a una beca del gobierno de dicho país. Cursó una maestría en estudios de contemporáneos de Asia en la Universidad de Ámsterdam en los Países Bajos y obtuvo su doctorado en estudios tailandeses en la Universidad de Chulalongkorn en Bangkok, Tailandia. Ha trabajado como coordinador de investigación en la Universidad de Bangkok, como coordinador de internacionalización en la Unión de Universidades de América Latina y el Caribe, UDUAL, y como asesor del subsecretario de Educación Básica del Ministerio de Educación Pública de México. Actualmente, es co-coordinador del Módulo sobre Sureste de Asia del Programa Universitario de Estudios de Asia y África de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Tailandia ASEAN política economía geopolítica

Resumen


El trabajo analiza los principales acontecimientos vividos en Tailandia durante el presente año y dibuja tres posibles escenarios para las elecciones generales de 2023. La siempre interesante política tailandesa continúa en su constante tira y afloja entre el gobierno del primer ministro Prayuth Chan-o-cha, los partidos de oposición prodemocracia y sus detractores dentro de su propio campo político. Esta tensión política, aunada a la recuperación de la economía tailandesa después de dos años y medio de haberse mantenido con las fronteras cerradas, abren muchas posibilidades para las elecciones del próximo año. Mediante el análisis de las relaciones de Tailandia con sus vecinos de la ASEAN, China y Estados Unidos, es posible entender el posicionamiento del país dentro del ajedrez geopolítico mundial y su rol estratégico en el Sudeste Asiático.
