Resumen

Después de las elecciones de julio 2023, el primer ministro Hun Sen anunció que
su hijo Hun Manet sería el nuevo primer ministro en el nuevo gobierno. Hun Sen continúa
como cabeza del partido gobernante y del Senado. También encabezará el Consejo Privado.
En relaciones internacionales, en noviembre de 2022 Hun Sen terminó su periodo como
presidente de la Asociación de Naciones del Sudeste de Asia. Las relaciones con China son
cada vez más estrechas. En economía, se espera un crecimiento de 5.6% para 2023.
