Resumen
En este trabajo se analizan, primero, las causas globales que han justificado la aparición en estos últimos años de términos económicos como el nearshoring o el friendshoring; después se aborda la competencia entre algunos de los países miembros de la Asociación de Naciones del Sureste de Asia (ANSEA) y México por llenar el hueco dejado por los productos de origen chino en el mercado estadounidense, con enfoque en tres sectores: el metalmecánico, el electro-electrónico y el automotriz.
